What to do? Yoga or my tax?

What to do? Yoga or my tax?

It's a hard decision for the conscientious amongst us...I should do my tax but I was hoping to go to yoga today...do you stay home begrudgingly and slave over your laptop or do you take yourself off to yoga and take some time out for yourself?? And if you choose the latter should you feel guilty during your yoga session that you're not at your desk instead?

Last Sunday I decided to go off to yoga instead. I had been complaining, mostly to myself but to a few other people too, that I am not getting any "me" time at the moment. "Me" time for me could be reading a book or writing in a journal or listening to music or going for a walk or going to yoga -  doing things that help me to recharge. So I decided that I would do my tax the following week (not procrastinating but rather "rescheduling") and that what I needed on that day was timeout. Because I decided when I would do my tax instead I didn't go off to yoga with the guilts.

I walked out of that class and I felt great!! Sometimes you have to slow down and clear your head to get focused and on track. I had a very productive day after that. I had taken the time out for myself and as a result my head was clearer and I was now ready to tackle some of the things on my to do list. So when you are working out your to do list or plan of attack for the week, make sure you include some personal / timeout things for you. Make sure you are also taking some steps to progress your goals...and not just focusing on progressing other people's goals. Check your SSAB goals and look at what "small" thing(s) you can do next week to progress goals that you have decided are important to you and that you want to achieve.
